Plantation:

In Phu My District, Binh Dinh Province, traders are buying chili pepper at the price of only VND3,000 - 5,000/kilogram. The price at the beginning of the season was only at VND15,000/kilogram. Many farmers cannot find traders to sell their products, and even have to leave ripe chili pepper in the field because they do not have enough money to hire workers to pick.

According to local growers, this year, favorable weather helps chili pepper gives more fruits than other years. Many people harvest their gardens at the same time, so the price drops deeply.

According to authority, the area of chili pepper in Phu My District is about 1,262 hectares this year, an increase of 30 hectares compared to last year. This year, chili pepper yield is also high, from 2-3 tons/1000 square meters.

Fruits:

Currently, avocado growers in Dak Nong Province are entering the harvest season. This year, the yield and price of avocado are both falling, affecting people's income.

In the past few months, avocado in Dak Nong is mainly sold fresh. Meanwhile, the fruit has a short shelf life and is easily perishable. Facing difficulties in the consumption market, authority has advised people to consider when investing in and developing this crop. In particular, people should focus on improving the quality for avocado products instead of expanding their acreage massively.

By 2020, the avocado area will reach 4,383 hectares with an output of 18,992 tons. In 2021, it is forecasted that avocado trees in Dak Nong province will continue to increase, reaching 4,535 hectares with an output of about 24,945 tons.
