These species require little care, but still can develop and live for a long time. They are beautiful plants for home and office decorations. The plants are especially preferred by Americans because they are the symbols of strength, endurance, and longevity. For many places in the US, the growth and sale of commercial cacti require licenses or permits. We had a chance to visit the California Cactus Center in Pasadena, California, USA. The center is a large shop selling diverse species of cacti and succulents. Below are information and pictures of our visit:

California Cactus Center is a family-owned business selling cacti and succulents. The center was established in 1976 by a Thai immigrant family in California, U.S.
Cacti and succulents have an ability a to thrive and survive in hot weather or sunny desserts. Some of them can tolerate cold climate.
With proper care, cacti and succulents can grow well and live a long lifetime. The center installs wide nets above its garden to protect plants from birds and surrounding environment.
There are a variety of cacti and succulents with different prices and growing characteristics. Some plants can be grown inside houses and offices. Others develop better if they are placed in outside environment.
Many people prefer the rough looks of cacti and succulents.
Different species of cacti and succulents can be arranged together to make colorful pots of plants.
Another species that is popular these days is air plant. Air plant takes nutrients from the surrounding air and environment. Because it is easy to care for, this species is preferred by many consumers.
Some plants at the store are labelled with letters, which reflect their prices.
Cacti and succulent can be as cheap as $3 to $5. Some rare, wild species and precious plants can cost up to almost $200.
