From the beginning of 2019 until now, farmers in Binh Thuan Province (Central Vietnam) have had a more successful crop of scallop compared to last year. Despite that, the selling price of scallop is currently low.
Fresh scallop is cooked and processed in many different ways, including steaming, grilling with scallion oil, deep frying, cooking as porridge or soup.
Adductor muscle of scallop is a valuable product. The muscle is taken out of scallop shell to be processed into dry scallop adductor muscle, fresh scallop adductor muscle, or dry and chewy scallop adductor muscle. Processed scallop adductor muscle is often sold at high prices and is a profitable product for import or export. Scallop adductor muscle from Binh Thuan Province has a fresh and special taste. This product is a delicacy of the coastal area in Binh Thuan Province, Vietnam.
Scallop adductor muscle contains different vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B12, magnesium, calcium, iodine and zinc. These elements help strengthen people’s health and increase our resistance. As a good food source for supplement, scallop has many benefits such as reducing cholesterol, reducing blood sugar, or reducing symptoms of osteoporosis.
